This year was our first visit to a Coeliac Society of Ireland Convention and it was an excellent event, attended by hundreds of people from around the country.
Travelling from Ballynahinch in County Down to this years’ venue in Cork was made all the simpler by the motorways running the length of Ireland. Combining the trip with a wedding anniversary also made it a special weekend with superb gluten free food provided by the Silver Springs Hotel in Cork.
We had the opportunity to meet a great new range of companies offering gluten free food plus some ‘old’ favourites such as BFree, Juvela, Gourmet Kitchen and Revive Active!
Gillian Neary at Gourmet Kitchen was displaying a superb GF cake and combined with a range of speakers and a glittering evening gala, it was an event well worth attending.
Full marks to Grainne Denning (CEO), her Directors at CSoI and all her hardworking staff for creating such a super event!
As visitors, Tina and I were made very welcome and left Cork after meeting some of our supporters at GFI and having made some lovely new friends who we hope to meet again at future events!
