Cork Based Chilli Sauce Company Turns up the Heat for 2016
New brand Rebel Chilli has added three more awards to their cabinet at the inaugural Free From Food Awards. At the ceremony in the Mansion House in Dublin, their sauces took Gold and Silver in the Dips and Relishes category and their unusual Jalapeno and Rasberry took Bronze in the Condiments, Dressings & Marinades. Managing Director Paul Moore was hopeful of one award, but expressed his delight on the success of the night “It’s fantastic to get recognition for our range especially when there were so many great products nominated”, he said. These awards are further merits for the brand, especially after their Red Sweet Chilli was previously awarded the highly coveted Gold at the Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards.
Rebel Chilli continues to grow in recognition having just exhibited at Bloom in Phoenix Park, where they exposed the brand to over 115,000 people. “It was our first Bloom and Bord Bia really did an awesome job, the exposure and contacts we made at the festival already look like they’ll bear fruit here in Irish market” noted Moore. The young food brand has already experienced success in the Middle East, as they have been exporting their products to Dubai since January this year and have just this week made its first steps into the UK market, having exhibited at the Food & Drink Expo under the Taste Cork initiative run by the LEO in Cork.
