On Saturday, 21st February 2015 we held a Gluten Free Food Fair in the Westville Hotel, Tempo Road, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh and it was a big success!

Thanks to the Fermanagh Herald (and our advertisers) for making sure the event was well known around Enniskillen and the County.

Companies like Glutafin, CELIA Lager, Doherty’s Meats, Lazy Day Foods, Lakeland Bakery, Pizzado, Aloe Vera NI, Rule of Crumb, Riso Gallo, Scott’s Bakery and Gaia, a new Health Food Store about to open in Townhall Street were there and we all had a very pleasant afternoon.

Kelkin had donated a quantity of GF food items which were used for “Spot” prizes during the event and that proved to be very popular!

The Westville has an excellent restaurant and serves GF meals every day so nobody went away hungry!

Following the Event we received this from a lady in the Irvinestown area of Co Fermanagh:-
“My son and I are both Coeliac. We do eat out and have to be so very careful. I see by your list that the Irvinestown Hotel, Restaurants, Cafes  are not mentioned.  Mahon’s Hotel are absolutely brilliant catering for us when we go to any function. They see to all our needs and no after effects. Molly’s Bar depending on the staff on duty at the time are excellent also. The Town Chippy is excellent if you fancied a chip as the lady doesn’t cook the chips in the same pan as Batter or crumbed items. Flo’s Cafe in Townhall Street is a great wee place to eat in Enniskillen. Hasn’t let me down yet. Her fish cakes are so yummy.”
We are very grateful to our Follower for this information and we have since updated our database to include the Venues she mentioned. It’s always a pleasure to hear about Venues from folk with personal experience! That’s what our website is all about.
