Flag of New ZealandCoeliac New Zealand have launched a campaign to help struggling families afford the cost of gluten free food.

The charity says gluten free food can cost five times the cost of regular food, putting some families in a position where they can’t afford the products they need to cater for a Coeliac diet.

It’s estimated 1 in 70 people in New Zealand have Coeliac disease, with 80% potentially unaware they have the condition.
