Hayley O’Connor is an author and her debut book is The Gluten Free Kid, a children’s picture book which helps explain Coeliac Disease to children or to anyone such as School teachers, Youth leaders etc who would like to understand the condition.
Hayley and her husband are both Coeliac, and trying to explain their condition to their three year old was proving difficult so The Gluten Free Kid was born.
As I’m sure you’re aware their daughters have a very high chance of developing the condition and having this material available is very important.
The book is out now nationwide, retailing at €7.99 in 30 locations around Ireland (including Eason) and is also available from Amazon for world-wide delivery.
It is also available as an eBook from Amazon UK and the official launch of the book was on Saturday, September 14th in Eason, Nenagh.
Sarah Keogh nutritionist, who works with the Coeliac Society of Ireland has read the book and as a result Hayley has been asked to feature at The Gluten Free Living Show in the Green Isle Hotel, Dublin on September 28th, where she will be doing a reading and a book signing.
